Level 1 teams are "full competitive members" of the Texas Finswimming Association (TFA). They are based in Texas and have full rights to compete, as approved by the Board of Directors of the TFA. Any team which is listed as an original charter member is waived from any membership fees, admission requirements, and shall be represented on the Board of Directors by at least one member.
Level 2 teams are "associate members" of the TFA and may participate in any official competition with the approval of either the President or Executive Director of the TFA. The members, coaches, or officials cannot hold any official office in the TFA, however they can be asked, by the President or Executive Director of TFA, to serve in any way they (President or Executive Director) feel will benefit the TFA.
Those teams listed at defunct teams are former members of the TFA and are inactive at the current time. They may apply to the Board of Director for reinstatement to full Level 1 or 2 teams by a 2/3 vote of the board and by completing any training and/or additional membership requirements that can be deemed necessary by the board.
